THE SECOND EDITION OF ‘INSPIRE 2018’ HELD IN NEW DELHI

Mr R K Singh, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy inaugurated the International Symposium to Promote Innovation & Research in Energy Efficiency (INSPIRE 2018) in New Delhi. This is the second edition of INSPIRE and is being organised by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and the World Bank. The three-day symposium will focus on enhancing grid management, e-Mobility, financial instruments and technologies for energy efficiency in India.

  • INSPIRE is an energy efficient event that brings policy makers, influential individuals, thinkers, researchers, leading energy efficient companies, government agencies, business leaders and other stakeholders together. They all hold their views on key energy policies, market change strategies and sustainable business models to take advantage of the full capabilities of energy efficiency.
  • Innovate TOINSPIRE is the first of its kind Energy Innovation Challenge, which was organized by EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Limited) and WRI (World Resources Institute) between August 21 to October 12, 2018.
  • Organized in collaboration with the INSPIRE 2018 Bureau of Energy Fisiansi (BEE), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the Administretiv Staff College of India (ASCI) it was done.
  • In addition to Innovate TOINSPIRE, 4 leading innovations were awarded in clean energy and energy efficiency as a part of it. 'Innovation Challenge' was considered a great idea to promote energy efficiency.
  • are also INSPIRE, during 2018, EESL and GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of natural gas-based Kojenereshn and Troijenersn projects Krmisyl and Industrial sector in India.
