Former railway minister and Congress veteran C K Jaffer Sharief died on Sunday afternoon following a brief illness. He was 87.During the 1995 Jafar Sharif, during his visit as Joint Minister, Jafar Sharif was charged with corruption for taking government employees along to London. The government suffered a loss of seven lakh rupees, but in November 2012 the case was dismissed against them.
