Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council
- Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC) is a committee advising the Prime Minister on economic matters in India. It consists of one president and four members.
- The tenure of its members is equal to the tenure of the prime minister. Generally the members of the advisory committee are appointed after taking oath by the Prime Minister.
- As soon as the Prime Minister gets discharge, members of the Advisory Committee also resign.
- The Economic Advisory Council is an independent body, whose work is to advise the government, especially to the Prime Minister on economic issues.
- This advice can be on any side or on any subject entrusted by the Prime Minister.
