INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR 2018 OPENS

The 38th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2018 was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, C.R. Chaudhary at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi today. The flagship event of India Trade Promotion Organisation(ITPO) will continue from 14th to 27th November 2018.Theme of the fair is 'Rural Enterprises in India'.

This time the size of the fair will be small

  • Trade fair organizer, India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) PRO Sanjay Vashishth said that due to the construction work this fair will be quite small this time.
  • Main Theme Exhibition Hall has been set in number seven.
  • The mandap has been installed under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development.
  • There will also be performances in Make in India, Digital India, Skilled India, Clean India and Start-up India. Government organizations, entrepreneurs of the States will also participate in the fair according to the available space.

Jharkhand Focus State

  • Jharkhand has been made the Focus State in the Trade Fair
  • Focus to Afghanistan and partner country is kept in the category of country. Apart from this, participants in China, Hong Kong, Iran, Myanmar, Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Tunisia, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates enterprises.

Minority Ministry to set up Hunar Haat

  • The fair will be organized by Minority Affairs Ministry, which will run till November Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will formally inaugurate Hunar Haat on November 15.
  • Under the mission to provide market to the artisans and artisans by Minority Affairs Ministry, it is being implemented in the international trade fair in the chain of Hunar Haat, organized in different parts of the country.

Artisans, artisans and artisans from across the country will take part

  • Many artisans, craftsmen, artisans from across the country, including a large number of women artisans in Hunar Haat in the trade fair are participating.
  • Handicrafts and handloom products will be available for sale in this Hoor Haat from every corner of the country. Among them are akhark, garden print, bondage, barmer akhar and aisle, bidriver, cane and bamboo, carpet, chanderi, chania brasserie, embroidery, copper vine products, copper utensils, ceramic utensils, dry flower, gottapatti, handloom and home furnishing. And so on.
  • Apart from this, jute craft, wooden stone made of lacquer, lacquer, linen products, metalware, moldwork, mulberry silk, pithani silk, floriculture, Punjabi casino, zari bag etc. will also be available. For the first time, the product of Chhattisgarh, Namda and Chinnon Silk of Jammu and Kashmir will also be available.
